CS Themed Mentoring (python)
This CS Themed Mentoring Program focus on helping mentees become confidence coder starting from scratch while presenting them the real life career development and opportunities connected to CS. The one hour each week for all six week will be split into 2 sections, the first focusing on skill development, the last focusing on practical advice on competitions, careers, and navigating the tech world.

From the very fundamental knowledge, our students will get to know the Python language, write relatively simple codes with variables and data type, then progressing into if-statement, loops, functions, lists and error handling. By the end of the mentoring course, students will be able to write functioning code and build a solid foundation for future studying.
However, the focus of this mentoring course is not only the python language. The las 30 minutes of each class will tie coding with the wider world. Mentees will be introduced to coding competitions, its registration process, explore professional careers, what these careers’ look like daily, understand how human coding is important with AI being able to generate codes, discover university programs and cyber security.
Mentees will know not just python, but also how to use it, where to compete, and what paths are available to them.
