FBLA/FBLC
HCGCC is a virtual business case competition where students will take on the role of consultant and solve a real business problem for a major company as a team. Some companies involved in the case studies include Boeing, Oura, Sony, etc.

All students do in oral is present 1-2 "roleplay" cases for 10-15 minutes at the competition, but they only receive their “roleplay” case 15-30 minutes before they present.
Students only know the range of topics that will be given to them, not the specific "roleplay" case they will receive at the competition.
The judge will be marking students on their speaking skills and 4-7 Performance Indicators stated on the case, for example, explaining the core of effective verbal communication, explaining supply and demand, etc.
Additionally, each student will also write a 100-question multiple-choice exam if they choose to compete in oral events. This is equally important with the case!

These events cover financial literacy, business ethics, computer science, and public speaking, helping middle schoolers gain experience in areas critical to future business success.
Similar to DECA, there are a lot of events, but they can be categorized into oral, written and pure exam events.

Registration is generally from November to January
Provincial is around middle of February to Early March
International(NLC) for this year is July 6-10, 2026, the time from 2027 will be determined later
