A single multi-part proof problem that lasts for 60 minutes will have all the parts centered around a core topic. All members of the team will collaborate to complete these questions.
A clear, logical proof process and steps are required for full marks, and partial marks can be given to teams that show significant progress although the answer is incorrect.
-
The team round included 10 questions with numerical answers. This round is 20 minutes only, and all members of the team need to work together. No penalty or extra points for wrong or incomplete answers.
-
This round consists of 10 questions that spans 105 minutes. Each question is with 1 point, that add up to a total of 10 points.
The participant will be given 10 minutes for every 2 questions.
Each individual contributes equally to the team.
-
Each team will be broken down into groups of 3, and each person in the 3-person team will receive a different question.
Each question requires the answer to the previous question to continue. So when the first person finishes answering the first question, they would pass the answer to the second person, which the second person would use to determine the answer to the second question.
The team member answering the third question is only allowed to submit their answer at the 3rd minute mark and the 6th minute mark. If the team member submits the correct answer at the 3rd minute mark, they automatically get the highest score. Please note that teams are allowed to submit another answer at the 6th minute mark even after they submitted once at the 3rd minute mark; it’s just that they won’t get the highest score.
-
This round is purely for fun and for providing an opportunity for conversations between students from different schools.
All participants, including alternates, will be randomly put in a group of 6-7 people.
Every team will get assigned a name and appoint a runner who is responsible for retrieving questions and submitting solutions.
During this round, each team will receive the question on a piece of paper at the start, and as soon as the answer to the previous question is submitted, the next question will be drawn randomly.
The scores of all teams will be displayed on a screen in real time.
